50!

My honey turned 50 this year. People kept asking me if we were going to have a party or do something big for him. The answer was no. Rich was having really bad back pain and had to have trigger point injections the week before and another (failed) epidural shot. Plus his birthday was his first day back to work after 10 days of medical leave so I knew he would be sore. Add a wedding into the mix and we didn't have the money for a party. I was going to cook dinner but had to be in Idaho Falls for counseling for Tymber so I picked pizza up. Jaron and Autumn got Rich a Steelers clock and a Steelers licence plate cover. We also got him some pants and I bought a cake. Unfortunately I did not get any pictures. i feel bad for it. I think once the wedding is over Rich ad I will go out to dinner by ourselves.

Hard decisions

Tymber has not done well with high school at all. Since beginning the school year she has had some pretty good panic attacks and I have had to get her on some anti depressants to control her anxiety. Her grades are horrible in most classes and it is just such a struggle for her. I am tired of the bullying she gets, tired of a school with over 1100 kids, tired of the shuffle, tired of the teachers not understanding her anxiety, tired of her being sick all the time, and frankly just tired of her being unhappy. We have had to put her in counselling and some other things are going on I will not share here. There is no way she or I can do this for almost another four years.

Next trimester starts in about 3 weeks and I have made the decision to online school her. She is going to have to repeat science and math and may not get credit for her other classes because of her absences, I have to go to the principal and appeal them. I have told her she can continue to take 2 classes at the school daily. She will go after lunch and take Seminary and Aquatics. This will allow her to see her friends  and get the social interaction she needs. Hopefully this will work better for her and lessen her anxiety.

One thing that is clear to me is that I am pretty sure she cannot do the traditional high school. There is a new charter high school opening in the fall that we toured and she really wants to go there. There are some other things to consider though and I am not sure it will work out. we may just home school the rest of high school for her. We will see I guess. I am blessed to work from home so it is an option for us.

Bridals

Last Tues Autumn did a trial run with our hair dresser then we headed to Utah to do bridals. Her sister-in-law lives in Farmington and because she is so graciously doing the wedding pictures for free we went to her. It had snowed the night before but thankfully the roads were clear but wet. Jaron let us take his car and wow what a difference. I spent 24.00 in gas round trip versus the 100 or more my expedition would have cost us. We went to the Utah Capitol and did inside shots. It is a gorgeous building. Valerie stated she hoped it snowed just a tiny bit for the outside shots. Sure enough when we got to the park it began to snow just lightly. It was pretty cold but Autumn was a trooper and it didn't show in her face. Val has sent me a few previews and wow they are going to be beautiful. I think it really hit me that she is getting married seeing her in her dress, veil, make-up and hair done. Invitations will go out this week.
