Prom 2015

Tymber and Robert went to prom. They really didn't have anyone to go with so she asked her yw group. No one was able to get them in their group but finally one of the ym texted her and told her she was invited to join their group. It was a little awkward because she didn't know anyone. They were supposed to go biking for their day date but Tymbers bike broke down when they got there. Instead of holding everyone up her and Robert just left. They went to an antique store and to get yougurt. Then they went to Wendy's and came back here. He decided to stay here while she got ready because he lives across town. He took a nap. Autumn came on her lunch hour and helped Tymber get ready. I loved that Autumn was so excited to help her sister get ready. About 5 minutes after I got home from taking Autumn back to work she showed up again. Her work was slow and let her go early. It was great having her back to help and she really wanted to see Tym in her dress. My parents also came over to see her. She was so beautiful.  I got her dress at Margenes in Idaho Falls. The same place I got Autumn's wedding dress. The lady was telling me she was having a hard time selling the dress because it was such a vibrant color it was washing all the girls out who tried it on. Tym fell in love with it and it really fit her personality. I had told the store what my price range was and they just happened to tell me the dress was marked down to that price ;)  I also had the lady who altered Autumn's wedding dress do some work with Tymbers. We had her hem it and from the leftover material add sleeves to make it more modest.

For the dinner the group she was with had dinner at one of the guys houses. Then they went to Roberts house for pictures and the dance. They were supposed to go back to someone else's house for a movie after the dance but Tym really didn't feel comfortable with that group so they came back here instead. She said the dance was okay. It would have been funner if she knew more people. I'm still glad she had the opportunity to go to prom.

I love this picture for some reason.

Second First Day

So much for the kids going to school in Pocatello. Sometimes when you try to do something you hope will make your children's life easier you end up screwing it up more. This was one of those face palm stupid parenting times.
We went ahead and enrolled them in school here. Hope really liked her teacher but is also excited to be back with her old friends and at her old school. Tymber was a little more upset because she loves Highland so much but we needed to do what was best for her overall. Living with someone else was not it. So we put her in the new Charter High School. It is where she would have gone anyways. Most of her friends are there and she will be okay until we get moved to Pocatello together as a family.

One thing that I know for certain, it sure feels right to have my girls back with me. My heart is happy and they are too.

School 2014-15

Tymber started her Sophomore year and Hope started fourth grade. It was super hard for me to send the girls to school because everything in our lives is upside down right now. Rich and I made the extremely difficult decision to send the girls to stay at Zoeys so we could get them established in Pocatello for when our house sells. Tymber does not do well in school and I knew starting her in Blackfoot and then moving her to Pocatello mid year would be even harder on Tym. I wasn't overly concerned with Hope because grade school is so different then high school and making new friends. About a week before school started I registered the girls and Tym and I went and spent a while at the high school. I wanted her to be comfortable with her locker and where all her classes were.

Not only were we facing a new school but the day before it started Rich's back surgery. To say I was a basket case is an understatement. I'm a total control freak and have always taken my kids to school on the first day. I really wasn't comfortable just sending them off on their own, especially because I had no clue who Hopes teacher was. The morning school started Autumn was my saving grace and came to get the girls at 7 am and drive them to Pocatello. She took Hope in and introduced herself and explained to the teacher who she was and the situation of the girls living at Zoeys during the week and a little about Rich's surgery. I knew I could trust Autumn  to do what needed to be done. I was also worried because Hope has always caught the bus right in front of my house. This wasn't the case now she has to walk up the hill and about 4 streets down. I called the school and the transportation department because I was super worried she wouldn't know how to get off the bus at the correct stop (control freak). Hope had a GREAT first day she absolutely LOVES her teacher. Last year her teacher yelled a lot and so Hope did not like her that much. This year so far Hope is crazy about her. She is quickly making friends in and out of school and doing well with the adjustments.

Tymber was pretty scared when she got dropped off and started having anxiety. Her Fathers Blessing reminded her once again to choose her friends wisely. As soon as she started with feeling anxious she headed to the Seminary building. There was still about 20 min before school started. I guess she almost got ran over in the cross walk and a boy seen it so he immediately began talking to her. They have become fast friends. He even took her home for lunch on the first day and immediately invited her to mutual that night as well. She texted me several times throughout the day and told me she loves the school. She told me she really feels comfortable there and likes almost all of her teachers.I was really feeling the Lords tender mercies and feeling so much better after the first few days.

It still breaks my heart to send them to Zoeys house during the week. It feels wrong that my kids are not living with us and I absolutely hate it but at the same time I feel blessed they can be safe at their Grandmas house and that they are adjusting to the new schools so far with no issues. Tymber seems happier then I have seen her in a long time.

I love the back of her shirt

CAP Flight

Tymber had the opportunity to fly with CAP. This was her second O flight and she really does not like flying. I feel bad because I think it is an amazing experience. She actually gets to pilot the plane. It makes her sick unfortunately. They were in the air about two hours and she was the first to pilot. Then when it was the other persons turn she crawled in the back seat and slept the rest of the time due to the Dramamine she took.

The instructor is teaching her how to check the fuel levels.

Sweet 16

Tymber turned 16! Wow I really cant believe my kids are getting so old. We have kind of had a crappy summer with packing and packing and packing some more. My kids haven't got to do anything fun. I did send Tym to Civitan in June and she loved it.

Originally we were going to do her party on the 7th which was also my 25th anniversary but we ended up having a house showing that night. Tymber was going to plan a double date for her Birthday but the second couple backed out at the last minute. Then we were going to send her to girls camp and the 4th year hike the day of her birthday. She is behind a year in girls camp because of CAP last year. She wasn't thrilled about that to much but agreed to go. At the last minute Jaron decided he was going to go to a concert in Nampa and take Tym with him. No one else likes their music (HAHA). He is about the only person I would trust to take her into a setting like that. I normally would never allow her to go to a concert like that but your only 16 once.

So we had a quick party for her. Her friend Sam came over and they went bowling for a while. Then my parents and Zoey came for dinner. I wasn't that good at getting pictures. Tym requested creamy broccoli cheese soup with bread bowls. Never mind it was 90 degrees outside. She also wanted a Batman/DR. Who cake but it was way to expensive to order. So Autumn made her a cake from scratch and decorated it. I think it turned out pretty good. Tymber is a total geek and wanted Batman and Dr. Who stuff for her birthday. Plus I bought her concert ticket.

 Batman shirt and socks
Her fun cake! It was yummy too.

She wanted lots of pins for her backpack
