Autumn was so funny when she came out of her procedure. She had a pillow that she fell in love with. She wanted this pillow so bad and insisted on taking it home. I told her she couldn't and we left. When I got her in the car She tried to get money from my purse to go back in and buy the pillow. She insisted it was the best pillow in the whole world. Then she was hungry so we went to Burger King. She was going on and on about this pillow. Once I got her a chicken sandwich she told me it was the best sandwich in the world and began to cry. I asked her what was wrong and she told me she was eating a dead chicken and was so sad. but it was the best dead chicken in the whole world. She told me when she gets to Heaven she is going to find that chicken tell it thank you for being the best chicken sandwich ever and that she was sorry she ate it. Then she told me she wanted a long necked dinosaur she was going to name Joseph in Heaven and teach him to be a slide so everyone could slide down his neck. All the while she still kept bringing up the pillow. Her mood was between really happy and really sad. She also told me she didn't think her dogs or Tymber loved her and that she didn't want Hope to get fat and weigh 300 pounds. The day before she went in she made me promise I wouldn't let her have her cell phone if she was silly, so I took it away from her. She got mad at me and told me she was fine and I was being mean and next time she was going to make me sign a contract saying I wouldn't steel her phone and hold it hostage.
The whole thing was pretty hilarious. She came home and slept while I went into town and was back to normal when I got home. Although she admitted she secretly still wishes she had the pillow .

Upper GI
Autumn had a upper G.I. today so we could try to get some answers as to why she is sick all the time. The procedure was pretty simple, they put an I.V. in her did conscious sedation and it took about 15 minutes. They told me she wouldn't remember much and she didn't but goodness she was funny. The Dr. said the good thing was they didn't find anything and the bad thing is they didn't find anything. He said she had a few "erosion's" in her lining that were not ulcers but were red and irritated and some of her lining was also irritated. He took a few biopsies but did not expect the results to be bad. The next step is a four hour test where she has to fast and then they feed her eggs with dye in it and they image her stomach as it is digesting the food to see if there are digestion issues. He said after that if they find nothing then they usually recommend removing the gallbladder. The bad thing about that is it is no guarantee she will feel better and it is surgery. If it isn't the gallbladder than she is without one and still sick. I don't think I would allow them to do the surgery "just because" unless they could prove it was the gallbladder. I think we would start doing diet changes and other things first. Dr. Davis did say she may have gallstone crystals that do not show up in the tests. He gave her medicine for 10 days and said if she feels better in a week and then when the pills run out we will know it's crystals. He also put her on prescription Zantac to help her lining. Interesting he told me the stomach pills the other Dr. had her on could actually cause stomach problems. Hmm.
Frustrating not having answers but at the same time it is nice to know it's not something serious.

Phaedra and Matt
Seriously, how cute is this picture? They had funny mustaches at the wedding and my girls had to wear them. I adore this picture.
Phaedra, Matt, Orion.
My cousin Mark had a new baby, of course we had to pass her around. She is three weeks and her name is Alice. So sweet, my dad never passes up a chance to hold a newborn.
Grandma and Grandpa. Ha this is so fun!
Silly glasses!
My cousin Matt and his wife Phaedra were married in December and had a reception in Utah on July 7th, my anniversary. The girls and I drove to Logan to attend. I haven't seen most of my cousins for almost 20 years so I was so very excited to attend. They are such a cute couple and have the cutest little boy EVER. Oh my goodness, it doesn't get any cuter than Orion. I had such a nice time and was so glad to see my cousins that I was so close to when I was growing up. They had really fun hats, mustaches, and glasses to take pictures with. There was also dinner. The whole thing was super nice. They didn't tell anyone except close family in December they were married, so when they sent out announcements it kind of made it sound like we were attending a wedding. My aunt told us there would be no vows because they were already married. For some reason Phaedra thought no one would attend a reception if they knew they were already married. Matt wanted her to have a dress and reception so they didn't tell anyone. They had it set up outside under a gazebo and my cousin Kerri's husband sang and played the guitar and introduced them as Mr. and Mrs Matt Kimball. They walked down the isle each spoke some words and then they had a first dance. It was all very sweet. They live in California and she is very, very beautiful and so sweet. She has been in a few movies and is an actress. I am so happy for them and their life together.

Tymber's Birthday!
Today my tater bug is 14, wow where does it go? Rich and I both had to work all day unfortunatley. The girls went to church and then we had just a small part for her here with just us. She really wanted roller blades so we bought her some a few days ago. She had to be with me so I knew they fit good and were comfortable. So obviously she knew about them. My paarents also got her a helmet and I bought knee and elbow pads. I told her that was all she was getting because they were expensive. Autumn and I came across a great sale at Clairs and she LOVES long socks. So I was able to get her 7 pairs of socks, 2 necklaces and a ring all for 10.00. It was a 10/10 sale. We also got her a cute wallet on sale. Then I bought her a CD. She was pretty spoiled but really she very rarely gets new things. Other than school clothes and holiday gifts she doesn't get much. She rarely asks for anything. Being the middle child she gets the raw end most of the time, poor girl. Anyways she was thrilled with all that she received. Happy Birthday Tymber we love you so much!

23 years
It is so hard to believe 23 years ago Rich and I were married. Gosh I was so young, only 18. People sometimes ask me if I would get married again at that age. My answer without hesitation is absolutely. Even with the rough start we had with his drinking and how naive I was it was all worth it. 23 years have brought me such happiness. I love him so much and know we are beyond blessed to have the marriage we do. It is not all roses and of course we struggle like everyone else, but each struggle is a growing experience. I am so lucky to have my Eternal Companion and an amazing father to my girls. The example he sets for them on how to treat a wife is priceless. Autumn tells me she wants a husband just like him, one that treats her so well and shows her love, kindness, compassion, understanding, and all other things a marriage should be made from.
Now that Autumn is almost 18 and a senior she laughs and tells me she could be engaged and married by next summer *gasp, cough, choke* I don't think so. I told her she at least needs to have 1-2 years of college behind her first. Not that I regret it, but I want my girls to experience living on their own before they get married. Rich says it doesn't matter, no guy will ever be good enough for his girls. We were laughing pretty hard at Aunt Perks funeral when he was telling my parents he wasn't sure how they let me get married. My moms answer was "we prayed A LOT". HAHA.

My sweet, sweet Aunt Perk left this world on Thursday morning. She will be deeply, deeply missed. At the same time I know her welcome home was a giant celebration. She is now with her Eternal companion, Uncle Jack. She has been away from him for far to many years and I am sure he was there to welcome her home, along with her children who had passed and many other relatives, including my well loved grandparents. The link below is a blog I wrote in February when she turned 90.
