Lately I have just been exhausted. I feel so overwhelmed with everything, I have no energy and want to sleep. Yes I know it is called depression. But then again it may be that I don't get to sleep until around 2 a.m. and wake up at 5:30 a.m. I sometimes wonder if I made a mistake going back to school. It takes a lot of time, time I could be spending with my kids. I feel like I am neglecting them. I know I am neglecting my house, it is a mess. I am working A LOT, spending 40-45 hours a week working, then another 3-4 hours a day doing homework. Add Young Women's into this and YW Volleyball on Wed. nights I am spent. I love my church calling, I feel guilty I can't go to church on Sundays, I hate it, but it can't be helped. I am glad I can go on Tuesday nights and be with the YW. The girls are starting to warm up to me and it is fun.
This will all pass and I will continue with school. I just wonder if the job market and economy will ever get better. We need for Rich to find steady employment, goodness knows we look and look and put in tons of applications. Hopefully when spring breaks if he hasn't found a job the building will pick up again, if his back can handle it. I know we will get through this, we just have to remember there is light at the end of the tunnel. Just wish the tunnel wasn't so dang long sometimes.

Hope's Report Card
Today Hope came home with her second term report card for kindergarten. It looks like she is doing well and she loves to go to school. She has not been absent at all so far this year. I think her favorite thing is to have P.E. on Thursdays. She really looks forward to it. In Personal and Social Development there are 10 categories, she received 8 M's and 2 S's. The M's are for Meets or Exceeds expectations. The S's are for Satisfactory. In language Arts she received 6 M's and 4 S's. In Math there were only 5 checked, she received 3 M's 2 S's and 1 N the N is for needs improvement, the area that was marked was organizes data an creates graphs. Hmmm, I think I need to roll my eyes to wonder why graphs are being taught in kindergarten.

This cracked me up.... Rules For Dating My Daughter
RULES FOR DATING MY DAUGHTER
‚ ‚ ‚ ‚ ‚
1. If you pull into my driveway and honk, you'd better be delivering a
package, because you're not picking anything up.
2. You do not touch my daughter in front of me. You may glance at her, so
long you do not peer at anything below her neck. If you cannot keep your
eyes or your hands off of my daughter's body, I will remove them.
3. I am aware that it is considered fashionable for boys your age to wear
their trousers so loosely that they appear to be falling off their hips.
Please don't take this as an insult, but you and all your friends are
complete idiots. Still, I want to be fair and open-minded about this issue,
so I propose a compromise: You may come to the door with your underwear
showing and your pants 10 sizes too big, but I will not object. However, in
order that your clothes do not, in fact come off the course of your date
with my daughter, I will take my electric nail gun and fasten your trousers
securely in place to your waist.
4. It is usually understood in order for us to get to know each other, we
should talk about sports, politics, and other issues of the day. Please do
not do this. The only information I require from you is an indication of
when you expect to have my daughter safely back at my house, and the only
word I need from you on this subject is: 'early.'
5. I have no doubt you are a popular fellow, with many opportunities to date
other girls. This is fine with me as long as it is okay with my daughter.
Otherwise, once you have gone out with my little girl, you will continue to
date no one but her until she is finished with you. If you make her cry, I
will make you cry.
6. As you stand in my front hallway, waiting for my daughter to appear, and
more than an hour goes by, do not sigh or fidget. If you want to be on time
for the movie, you should not be dating. My daughter is putting on her
makeup, a process that can take longer then painting the Golden Gate Bridge.
Instead of just standing their, why don't you do something useful, like
changing the oil in my car?
7. The following places are NOT appropriate for a date with my daughter:
Places where there are beds, sofas, or anything softer then a wooden stool.
Places where there is darkness. Places where there is dancing, holding
hands, or happiness. Places where the ambient temperature is warm
enough to introduce my daughter to wear shorts, tank tops, midriff T-shirts,
or anything other than overalls, a sweater, and a goose down parka -
zipped up to her throat. Movies with strong romantic or sexual themes are
to be avoided; movies which feature chain saws are okay. Hockey games
are okay. Old folks homes are better.
8. Do not lie to me. I may appear to be a pot-bellied, balding, middle-aged,
dim-witted, has-been. But on issues relating to my daughter, I am
all-knowing, merciless god of your universe. If I ask you where you are
going and with whom, you have one chance to tell me the truth, the whole
truth, nothing but the truth. I have a shotgun, a shovel, and 5 acres behind
me. Don't trifle with me.
9. Be afraid. Be very afraid. As soon as you pull into the driveway, you
should exit the car with both hands plain in sight. Speak the perimeter
password, announce in a clear voice that you have brought my daughter
home safely and early, then return to your car - there is no need for you to
come inside. The camouflaged face in the window is mine.
10. Have fun

Roadshow
Our Stake is getting ready to put on a roadshow. I think each ward is doing a skit. Can I just say how much fun it is trying to get a bunch of teens together to practice is. NOT. The skit is only about 15 minutes but it should be fun. Autumn is a Hells Angel, Tymber is a horse wrestler, and Hope even go a part. She has to go with me now on Tuesday nights because Rich now has to go with the Elders Quorum to visit members that night. She was happy to find out that she gets to go be with the big girls now, but to be offered a part she was over the moon. She gets to be a little girl in a family that gets her jewelry stolen by thieves. There is another little girl that goes each week named Robin. I think Hope and her will become great friends even though Robin is younger by a few years.

New Calling
Rich received a new calling last night. The Elders Quarm President Brother Murdoch came over and asked him to be Secretary of the Elders Quarm. He of course accepted this calling. I am excited for him, he has been having a really rough time lately and this may help him out. What is even more important he was excited for the calling as well. Now if we could just find steady work for him things would really be looking up.

Katina and Josh Lopez wedding
My Uncle Dan and Aunt Angela, their daughter Katina got married New Years Day
1-1-11. There wedding was Greek, held at the Greek Orthodox Church in Pocatello. Her wedding dress was stunning. I was not able to get very many good pictures. The ceremony itself lasted about 90 minutes. I was glad Autumn and Tymber were there to experience the religion and culture. When Dan and Angela were married the whole wedding was spoken in Greek. this one was spoken in English for the most part. It was a long ceremony but they handed out a paper that told what the symbolisms meant. The Priest had a sense of humor, after the ceremony part he spoke for a little bit and said there were 3 rings to a marriage, the engagement ring, the wedding ring, and suffering. After the wedding the reception and dinner was at the Red Lion. We went and they had a cocktail room set up where you could get drinks, alcoholic and non. Then we were escorted into dinner. By now it as about 7:00 and the wedding started at 4:30. Angela's sister Maria was the Mistress of Ceremony. She pretty much designed the whole wedding, if you know Angela and her Greek sisters nothing was done half way, the Bridesmaid dresses were stunning, the reception was stunning, there was an ice sculpture, buffet dinner, Greek deserts, dancing, a cake that matched the invitations, and it goes on and on. The dinner was a Greek dinner with Pork and other Greek dishes. I didn't care much for the food but it was okay. We did not get home until almost 10:00 pm. It was along day but fun to experience, see people I have not seen for a very long time, meet some new people, and just have the opportunity to experience the culture.
