I can't believe my baby is 10 today. Time goes so fast it is crazy. Yesterday she went to the pool with Her friend Jen and Tymber. Today I worked and the girls went to church. Hope wanted homemade chicken soup for her dinner. My parents were going to come but I have has a nasty cold and my mom can't get sick so unfortunately they had to stay home. I made chocolate chip zucchini cake chicken noodle soup and also pumpkin muffins. We got her some luma bands a cute little coin purse and a pogo stick. Autumn and Jaron got her a giant giraffe se named Gloria. Happy Birthday sweet Hope we sure love your sweet spirit and spunky personality!

Second First Day
So much for the kids going to school in Pocatello. Sometimes when you try to do something you hope will make your children's life easier you end up screwing it up more. This was one of those face palm stupid parenting times.
We went ahead and enrolled them in school here. Hope really liked her teacher but is also excited to be back with her old friends and at her old school. Tymber was a little more upset because she loves Highland so much but we needed to do what was best for her overall. Living with someone else was not it. So we put her in the new Charter High School. It is where she would have gone anyways. Most of her friends are there and she will be okay until we get moved to Pocatello together as a family.
One thing that I know for certain, it sure feels right to have my girls back with me. My heart is happy and they are too.

School 2014-15
Tymber started her Sophomore year and Hope started fourth grade. It was super hard for me to send the girls to school because everything in our lives is upside down right now. Rich and I made the extremely difficult decision to send the girls to stay at Zoeys so we could get them established in Pocatello for when our house sells. Tymber does not do well in school and I knew starting her in Blackfoot and then moving her to Pocatello mid year would be even harder on Tym. I wasn't overly concerned with Hope because grade school is so different then high school and making new friends. About a week before school started I registered the girls and Tym and I went and spent a while at the high school. I wanted her to be comfortable with her locker and where all her classes were.
Not only were we facing a new school but the day before it started Rich's back surgery. To say I was a basket case is an understatement. I'm a total control freak and have always taken my kids to school on the first day. I really wasn't comfortable just sending them off on their own, especially because I had no clue who Hopes teacher was. The morning school started Autumn was my saving grace and came to get the girls at 7 am and drive them to Pocatello. She took Hope in and introduced herself and explained to the teacher who she was and the situation of the girls living at Zoeys during the week and a little about Rich's surgery. I knew I could trust Autumn to do what needed to be done. I was also worried because Hope has always caught the bus right in front of my house. This wasn't the case now she has to walk up the hill and about 4 streets down. I called the school and the transportation department because I was super worried she wouldn't know how to get off the bus at the correct stop (control freak). Hope had a GREAT first day she absolutely LOVES her teacher. Last year her teacher yelled a lot and so Hope did not like her that much. This year so far Hope is crazy about her. She is quickly making friends in and out of school and doing well with the adjustments.
Tymber was pretty scared when she got dropped off and started having anxiety. Her Fathers Blessing reminded her once again to choose her friends wisely. As soon as she started with feeling anxious she headed to the Seminary building. There was still about 20 min before school started. I guess she almost got ran over in the cross walk and a boy seen it so he immediately began talking to her. They have become fast friends. He even took her home for lunch on the first day and immediately invited her to mutual that night as well. She texted me several times throughout the day and told me she loves the school. She told me she really feels comfortable there and likes almost all of her teachers.I was really feeling the Lords tender mercies and feeling so much better after the first few days.
It still breaks my heart to send them to Zoeys house during the week. It feels wrong that my kids are not living with us and I absolutely hate it but at the same time I feel blessed they can be safe at their Grandmas house and that they are adjusting to the new schools so far with no issues. Tymber seems happier then I have seen her in a long time.
I love the back of her shirt

Hopes ribbon
Hope has been taking 4-H lessons all summer learning to sew. She had the chance to make a skirt and enter it into the county fair. I don't sew, at all. We have a sewing machine and Tymber and Autumn sew a little. Unfortunately the machine was packed and so it was not available. So I asked my mom to help Hope. We went and she picked out her own material then went home with Grandma for a few days and made a skirt. My mom helped a little but not much. She mainly helped Hope with the elastic and was there to guide and help her pin. Hope scored 96 out of 100 points at the fair and because of this she gets to enter the State fair. She was so excited.
This is the first thing she made
Its almost impossible to get a normal smile and picture of her

Goodbye 3rd and 9th grade
We made it through another school year. ZOOM it sure went fast. Hope loves school but complained A Lot that her teacher yelled all of the time. I really was not impressed with her teacher at all. Tymber had her for 5th grade and I was worried but had expectations she would be better with the younger kids. NOPE. There were many times Hope would call me and tell me she didn't feel good. This child usually doesn't like to miss school for anything so I knew on the days there were problems. I don't think there was a day the whole year Hope didn't come home telling me how "bad" her class was. To me this reflects bad on the teacher not the class. I also had issues with the other third grade teacher and math. Hope came home one day and told me they changed classes for math and people who didn't get the problems done in a specific amount of time or got them wrong had to do a walk of shame in front of the rest of the class. I SOOOO wasn't okay with this> Hope is an excellent math student to the point she tests way above her grade level and she loves math (not my child). But the whole walk of shame came off as bullying. Here the school is supposed to teach anti bullying and the teacher is making them do this? I don't think so. I called and complained and also complained about how much her teacher yells.
The funny thing is if you know me you know I am a HUGE advocate for teachers. Their classroom, their rules and very little appreciation for what they do. In all the years my kids have been in school i rarely say anything but could not let these two things go. The Walk of Shame stopped immediately, the yelling not so much but whatever. Hope never knew I was the one who called in just that some parent called and complained so they no longer did it.
Tymber had a rough rough year. 9th grade is super hard anyways because it is the first year of high school. I remember Autumn struggled with it too. Tym had severe anxiety we had to deal with that started funny enough as soon as high school started. We had to get her on anti depressants and put her in counseling. By the end of second trimester it was apparent she wasn't doing well in the environment so I chose to online school her and also send her to school because we all know Tymber is a social person despite the anxiety and needs her friends around her. Not sure online was the best option either because she doesn't have the self discipline she needs to do online schooling ( I say that as I write this blog and should be doing my own homework, oh the irony of it). Plus I online did math. HUGE mistake considering most of us here suck at math. Autumn had a great idea to hire her friend Katie as a tutor because she was in between semesters at BYUI. So that's just what I did. Katie has the patients of a saint and got Tymber through math, but then had the nerve to go back to college 3 weeks before trimester ended. We managed to get her through and she epically failed her final but the rest of her grade was good enough to pass math with a 63% good thing or she would have been taking it for a 3rd time. English she got a 70% in and that was her other online class. Then she went to school for seminary and aquatics. She is going to have to retake one Science class and is behind one math class.
We will see what a new school does for her I guess. It makes me a little sad we are leaving Blackfoot because she was accepted into the new High School charter school here and I think would thrive because the first year will only have Freshman and Sophomores with no more than 120 kids total. The rest of high school shall be interesting with her but she knows she has to finish school.

Christmas 2013
Everyone was extremely spoiled this year. Its funny when you add another person into the equation. Jaron hasn't had much of a Christmas the past several years. All of his siblings are married except his oldest brother and I don't think they exchange gifts. If they do it is something small and I think his parents do cash. He usually spends it at his sisters house with her family. I told Autumn because they were not married I expected her to be here both Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. Jaron and my parents came to spend the night. Autumn had gone black Friday shopping with his sister and bought a lot of things for him and for her house. Not to mention I had her do some of mine as well. It was fun to see them spoil each other. They may as well before they have a family of their own.
Santa brought the girls a new blanket.
Hope got a koala bear.
Some rainbow bands to make braclets
yarn for Tym
a Dr. Who/despicable me phone case
Santa (autumn) got Jaron a new game for his playstation.
Kraft stuff
Scratch art. My girls love these.
each of the girls got new boots. Autumn got a killer deal on Black Friday.
Monsters University.
Grandma wants Autumns boots.
My girl is all about her 24 hour kit for CAP.

Another game for Jaron.

I told her I refused to get it so she was really excited.
Autumn got these cute wall hangings for their house.
Jaron loves baseball.
Santa (Rich and I) got them a new clock. It's huge and beautiful.
Hope got a gymnastic mat

Jaron asked for a Dallas Cowboys hat for Christmas so we found him a great one!
We couldn't allow Rich to go without a new hat too.
We did get Jaron a different Cowboys hat.

My parents got the girls giant dogs.
Jaron got a new grill from Autumn.
Autumn got a new kitchen aid mixer from Jaron.
Her other gift and I cannot believe I did not get a pict. but I was too excited and wanted to watch her I gave her a Wicked CD with a Wicked ticket for April. My niece Zoey ordered tickets in October and Autumn wanted to go. I told her no we couldn't afford it with the wedding. then I decided to do it because we both have always wanted to go and knew this would be our only chance. She was beyond shocked and so excited. It was really hard for me to keep it a secret but I managed. Totally worth it! Thanks Zoey for all the trouble of ordering the tickets we can't wait to see it with you and yours.
