Christmas 2014

Christmas this year was different. We were in a rental and nothing about it felt like home. We decorated and dealt with it. Not only were we in a house we hated but my parents weren't there. This is the first time in 44 years (my whole life) that I have not spent Christmas with my parents. When we were still living in Meridian Rich and I would drive to my parents house each year for Christmas. Then when we moved here my parents began to spend the night at our house. So not only was it my first Christmas without my parents but Rich's in 25 years of marriage and my kids have never been without Grandma and Grandpa Christmas morning. They were late leaving for Arizona and decided not to come back this year. They really hated it as well and said next year they will not leave for Arizona until after Christmas. Thank goodness Autumn and Jaron came to spend the night Christmas Eve.

Because the rental house had no dishwasher and a tiny kitchen we decided to have Christmas Eve dinner at Zoeys house. After dinner we came back and watched Guardians of the Galaxy and went to bed so Santa could come. And come he did. It was ridiculous the amount of gifts we had. Plus Autumn and Jaron brought all their gifts from each other so it was insane.

Despite all of the changes it was still a great Christmas and I'm glad all my kids were here for it. I know as my parents get older and my kids get older and have their own kids that wont be the case so I cherish it now.

One thing we did different this year was get a live tree. Tymber and Hope have never had one and Autumn doesn't remember when we had one so we had two trees this year.

It seemed a little strange not having a Christmas pile for Autumn from Santa this year. She got grown up gifts. We bought her blinds for most of her house.

Hope is really big into crafts and Luma Bands. She will spend hours crafting

Tymber got Black Veil Brides posters. Her favorite band

Both girls got chalk boards for their rooms.

 Tymber loves to draw.

Tymber asked for a new comforter
Jaron bought Autumn a new body pillow. All of us girls sleep with body pillows. A few weeks before Christmas Autumns pup Rowdy tore hers apart.

Autumn loves fish and Jaron got her a fish tank. He really thinks outside of the box and gives her some super fun gifts.

Tymber is the biggest geek and LOVES Batman. The funny thing is she has never watched the movies but she is just crazy about him so she got a fun blanket.
Hope and Tymber both got robes that they love.
