Kade and the temple

Tonight Rich and I went to the Idaho Falls Temple with with my nephew Kade as he took his endowments out for his mission. I love the peace from the temple. I love the feeling I get as soon as I walk in the doors and the peace lasts for days to come. We are so blessed to live in an area that so many temples are close and readily available. My nephew Jake was Kade's escort tonight. Many family members were there for Kade. Caralyn (his mom) was with him as well, it breaks my heart Rick (my brother, Kades dad) will not get a temple recommend, but that has to be his decision, I know he agonizes over it greatly. Anyways Kade was overcome with emotion. He is extremely emotional anyways and was not sure he wanted to go on a mission. Once he made up his mind though he finished his first year of college and is spending the summer getting ready for his mission in Paraguay. When we came into the Celestial room and I hugged him he just sobbed on my shoulders, very emotional. I am so grateful we were able to be there for him in some small way. I am especially grateful we are able to attend the temple as we cannot go to church very often due to our work schedules.

After the temple we had to go to the store and then decided we wanted some ice cream. We went to Garcia's to get fried ice cream (YUMMY) and on the way in decided we were hungry, walked in the door and my very good friend Michelle was there with her boyfriend just getting ready to be seated at a table, so we invited ourselves to join them (what are friends for). We had such a nice time with them, I kind of felt bad at first for her boyfriend because Michelle's ex-husband used to be Richard's best friend and Michelle and I were best friends in high school. So we spent time talking about the past a lot, but he was a really good sport and we got to know him better and laughed a lot. Good times.

Super fun! The Boise Temple closes for a remodel in a few weeks for a year. We will be without a temple and will have to travel to Twin Falls - pretty sad about that. I'm glad you were able to be there for Kade :-D.

I don't know about coming for your campout. Brady had trek 12 - 16th and cross country camp 25 - 30th. Brady had to give a lesson on Sunday in his quorum and so we couldn't come over the 4th --- but we had tons of fun.

I've been busy as usual trying to get my yard in ship shape. I'm glad all is going well. I need to get a card sent out for Tymber's birthday. She is a total crack up about turning 13.. LOL!
