Songs come and go. Some touch me deeply. Some are just fun and I like the words. My music is pretty diverse in what I listen to. I am more of a country girl. Give me George Strait any day of the week (sigh). I try to also keep up with the music my kids listen to. For the most part I do okay. I do not allow any type of crap in my home, oops I mean rap, or any lyrics that are filthy in language. I do not let the kids listen to them at all. I love the Sounds of Sunday, on Sunday morning. Especially if I am lucky enough to go to church, which is rare :0( unfortunately. I also really like 70's and 80's music. It is what my brothers listened to, so I grew up on it. Hard rock has it's moments as well. Especially if I am home alone. I love to crank the music if I am cleaning.
This song fits Rich and I. He tells me I am conceited to think so, haha, but given our history and his drinking in the past, this song tells our life. We fell in love so quickly and so completely, this song reflects us. There are many other songs that fit us as well, but for me at least, it always goes back to this song.
Music is a gift, even if a person is not musically inclined (me) I think it can bring joy to each one of us. No matter what type we like.
