Naked Chicken? Oh my

I was making a huge pot of Chicken noodle soup for dinner. My brother in law Lyle called a few days ago and asked me to make him some. I had been thinking about it anyways and what perfect time it was cold and snowy. I make the soup and Richard makes the home made noodles. Yummy what a great husband he is. I had bought 2 whole chickens and was taking the skin off of them to throw them in the pot. Hope comes in "Mom, what are you doing" "I am making chicken noodle soup" " No mom, you are making that chicken naked" oh how great is the minds of a 4 year old. Then she had to go tell her dad I was in the kitchen making the chicken naked. Children are truly amazing.

The soup was so yummy and I made a ton. Rich took a lot to Lyle this morning. I hope he enjoys it. Also on the way to taking Autumn to young women's last night we have elderly neighbors and they are not in good health. They are the nicest people and everyone in the Ward loves them and watches out for them plus they have great kids. I decided they might like some soup also. I know her back is really bad and she can hardly stand so I doubt she cooks and he has cancer... I took the soup in and it was about 6:30 so I figured they had already eaten it was hot but I let them know they could put it in the fridge and have it today. They told me they hadn't eaten yet and were just getting ready to make a sandwich. They were very grateful and of course I had to share the naked chicken story. Today Magaret called me and told me how much they aprecitated the soup and thought it was so good. I may take them over some more in a day or so I really did make a lot and we will be eating it for days so I will share some more with them.

Just goes to show you Chicken noodle soup really is good for the soul.
