Socks

Hope woke up Saturday morning and had to tell Autumn and me about this dream she had. A pink sock was tickling her and would not leave her alone. She was trying to fight it and bite it but it just kept tickling her over and over again. It sounds really funny but I think it was more of a nightmare for her. She slept in our room last night. I could not get her to sleep in hers, she kept telling me she was afraid of the sock coming after her. Poor girl.

On another note we were down by the river taking some pictures and walked onto the temple grounds. I was holding her hand and telling her this is where we will be sealed in a few weeks. She looks up at me and said, mommy when they put us in the box to seal us will they let us out again. She knows we will be sealed and she knows it is very important but she still doesn't grasp what it means. I explained to her we would not be put in a box and what it meant. I think actually seeing the temple she was afraid we were going in there and would never get to come out again. My dear sweet 5 year old.

Autumn also had her Patriarchal blessing last night. It was AMAZING. Rich and I get ours next week and I am so excited. All I will say about hers is this generation of children are so strong, they have to be with everything that is going on in the world today and all that is still to come.

FHE tonight - here is a story about persevering jam and families --- look up on lds.org You can search under jam and sealing or it is July 2004 pg. 5 called, "Perservering Jam and families" It may help explain to her about what sealing means.

Hope is soooo cute and the ways she is trying to understand it all. And.....she will be with you forever.

I'm excited that it all worked out and Autumn was able to get her patriarchal blessing (even though she was sick). Exciting that one day Richard will be able to give the blessings!! It will be such a huge blessing to your family to have the Priesthood there all the time. I'm excited that you will be getting yours too... I haven't gotten mine yet... I really need to schedule it and get it done. Brady needs his too.

I think it is AMAZING that these children have such strong spirits. That is why they are here in the latter-days... to prepare the earth for the coming of our Savior. BUT... don't forget how special we are that we are their parents .... I think that is pretty awesome too... We were strong too!
