My baby girl turned six yesterday. Where has the time gone? It makes me so sad that she is growing so fast. She loves kindergarten so much. Loves going to school each day. I am glad it is only half a day and she is home by 11:30. She gets pretty grouchy in the afternoons, it is rough getting up at 6:45. She is in bed by 8:00 p.m. but I may need to push her bedtime to 7:30.
She had a good birthday. It was pretty quiet, I sent cookies for her to school but she forgot to hand them out, it is probably a good thing. When she brought them home they were all smashed. Rich informed me she stood on them the night before when she was standing on her backpack, silly girl. We got her some lego blocks, she can build with blocks for hours and hours. I also got her some play-doh and clothes. Autumn, and Tymber got her a slinky and a shirt, and Ryan got her some fart putty, she loves it. She really wanted a zu-zu pet and I ordered her one online but it did not get here in time. I was pretty ticked off, I ordered it the end of August. My parents decided to come down and they brought her one. She loves it. Hers of course showed up today, I really think I am going to just put it up for Christmas. We ordered Chinese and I got her a cake. I had to go to young womens last night so there was not a lot of time to celebrate.
I was asked last week to be a Beehive adviser. I can't say I am surprised. I have known it was coming for a while now. My Patriarchal Blessing tells me I am supposed to work with the youth of the Church, specificaly the women. I knew when they started to release some of the leaders it was coming, then it did not and they called other women to the position. It kind of ticked me off because I KNEW I was supposed to be there. About 2 months went by and they called me. I am pretty scared, I have never had a church calling before, this one is pretty big. I really do know without a doubt this is where I need to be and Sister Ulrich confirmed it today as she was bringing me everything I needed. They are just going to have to be patient with me I have a lot to learn and there will be many weekends I have to work but I will be able to go to Mutual each Tuesday.
I finished my first two classes last Sunday. I got a 96 in both classes, I worked hard and I am excited for the grade I received. Now I am taking finance and communications. I really think communications will be tough. It is reviewing a lot of verbs, fragments and such right now. The sad thing is that I have forgotten most of it over 21 years.

Happy birthday Hope! That is exciting that you have a church calling. They just redid our young women's on Sunday. I am surprised, but think I know why now ... You will do great!!! You really receive so many blessings when you give of your time.
