This past week was Blackfoot's Homecoming. One day was Disney Character day, another super hero, another disco, Friday was school pride, and Monday crazy hair day. Autumn dressed up on Disney day, she wore my Mickey Mouse pajama bottoms to school, this is against the dress code but nothing was said due to the week. Wed. her and Katie dressed up as their favorite super hero.... Super Geek. I loved that they made up their own hero's. They took old shirts and wrote SG on the front, taped their glasses , put a pen in their pockets, wore their hair in funny styles, wore their pants rolled uneven and a cape. She said they walked into Seminary saying "Never fear the Super Geeks are here". Monday she wore her hair crazy, I didn't think it was that crazy. Friday of course a green shirt and I think she had her Blackfoot hoodie on.
She is Secretary of the German club. The girl doesn't even take or speak German but she was at a meeting with Ryan last year and they needed another officer so she volunteered. Silly girl.They had to select someone for Homecoming Queen and then wanted to make a float or something for the Parade on Friday. They used my cousin George's big black truck and decorated it. George was a good sport about letting them borrow it, but when he was in school he was on the football team, so Bronco Pride. I guess they had a picture of a Bee ( Bonneville Bees, the school I graduated from) on the front of the truck squashed, then they had German Club on the back and Broncos on the sides made from tablecloths or something. Ryan drove the truck and all the kids piled in the back with fly swatters. This girl in the club made them each really cool shirts to wear and the girls put upside down horseshoes on their faces with paint. I was pretty disappointed Autumn did not tell me what time the parade was starting, they got out 2 hours early. I called her and she told me it was starting right then. It was only a few blocks so I couldn't get there in time. I was sad we missed it. After the parade they washed Georges truck, put fuel in it and took it back. Then Ry and Autumn came back here, he wasn't looking so good, he got braces the day before on the bottom and his mouth was killing him, plus he had a super bad migraine. I fed them and Autumn left to go to the game with Katie and some friends. Poor Ryan went downstairs in her room and slept about three hours. I felt bad for him, I know he wanted to go to the game but was sick. Broncos won the game. Yeah!
Homecoming was the next night but not being 16 Autumn didn't get to go. I really don't think she cared anyways. None of her close friends are 16 (except Ryan) so no one was going to the dance. I am glad she is having fun in school. I hated high school so bad and only wanted out. She went to the powder puff game on Wednesday and informed me next year she is playing powder puff!
