Another shot

We took Rich back to the Doctor today, I am pretty sure his shot from July wore off. I was really hoping we would go longer with the amount of money each shot costs. The truth is there is no guarantee how long it will last, each person is different. Some people have to have 2 or 3 shots to get the pain gone. His pain never went away 100% but was manageable. He jumped out of the back of his truck last week and re-injured his back. I hope it is not torn again. We are going to go in Thursday morning for another shot, another $1,000.00 but oh well. It is better then the alternative of not being able to work at all. We also got him some anti-inflammatory pills. I will be curious if these work, he has had a bad reaction to some in the past, he can take celebrex but it is over $100.00 a month for it. We are also going to get him into a pain management clinic in Blackfoot. The bad news is we can't get him in until December 1st. I have heard some really good things about this clinic. I wanted to get him in earlier and forgo the shot but nothing was available so we need the shot so he can manage until then. Even if this shot does him wonders, that I doubt, but we agreed he will still go in December even if he feels great. This is something we need to deal with in the long term and try to avoid back surgery.
