Valentines Dance

On Sat Feb 12, 2011 there was a Valentines Dance at the high school.Autumn and Ryan went with the same group they went to Winterfest. It was girl's choice so Autumn made rice krispy treats shaped like kisses asking him to the dance.


We then went to see if we could find a cute dress. We went to Beals in Blackfoot and found the dress she wore priced $54.00, on clearence for $16.00 when I got up to the register it rang up at $7.17....SCORE!!!!
We decided to have everyone here for dinner before the dance. I was excited to meet her friends. She has been talking about them a lot and they seemed like a fun group. Saturday morning Autumn did not feel good AT ALL. I wasn't sure if she was going to make it to the dance. Rich left for work and soon she asked for a blessing. Rich was in Pocatello and really needed to stay and work so I called our home teacher and great friend Brian Lott. Brother Matsura came with him and they gave Autumn a blessing. About 20 minutes later she was upstairs looking much better and ready to help me.LOVE the power of the Priesthood! Ryan showed up and was doing some printing on invitations I had to make (70 of them) for YW the next day. They left at 3:00 to meet up with their group to go play nerf wars or something. I stayed and made Chicken Cordon Bleu, cookie salad, and cheese cake. Ryan's mom Justine came over and brought potatoes and pop and to help me cook. Then we had to run and print invitations off ( I know I Know Sondra, quit shaking your head at me). I also forgot buttermilk so had to go to the store. On the way back Autumn called and said the nerf wars fell through and they were coming back for dinner. So we hurried home to get the chicken in while the kids played games. Everyone said dinner was a hit and I LOVED the kids they were so fun. I should have taken pictures at dinner, stupid. The boys went to Daniel's to get ready and the girls' stayed here, except Taylor went home to get ready. Lots of laughter from the girls. Soon the boys were back and waited on the girls (shocking I know)then it was time for pictures and they were off.Taylor and Kenny are not usually part of the group but Taylor needed someone to go with so Autumn invited her.

Sam, Ryan, Kenny, Daniel -Daniel is a crack-up Ryan's feet were sooo heavy he just couldn't handle it.

Autumn said they had a great time. I am not sure they will invite Taylor and Kenny again though. They are both really immature. I don't think Kenny has ever been on a date before. Autumn was standing on the passenger side of the car waiting for Ryan to open the door and Kenny came up opened the door and crawled in the front seat. I about died when Autumn told me. Leaving Autumn to get in the back seat with Taylor. Then he was going around the dance telling all these couples they were slow dancing wrong. Daniel had to speak with him. But other then that they had fun!
Another funny when they were sitting down to dinner I told them what we had to eat. After the prayer Sam and Mikie are having a whispering match across the table and he is telling her .... No, POP.... she thought I said I was serving them POT.. LOL that was funny.
